Six months ago, her phone fell and developed a crack on the screen. Surprisingly, she was still able to use it. Her husband would look at her phone and say from time to time, "You need a better phone." Her mother would also say regularly, "You need a new phone."
One evening, while she and her mother were talking in the kitchen, her husband came and gave her a box with a brand new phone. She looked at it with measured happiness and said, "But it looks very costly and huge."
Her husband said, "It's for you."
She said, "No no. I can't handle this big phone."
Her husband said, "Well, in that case, don't worry."
After a few minutes, he came back and said, "Take this phone at least." He gave her his old phone and continued, "By the way, this phone is not very old and it has fantastic features."
Next morning, her mother said, "You could have taken the new phone."
She said, "After fifteen years of marriage, I know what to take and what to refuse." Her mother didn't respond.
In the evening, she told her mother, "At least this phone's screen is not cracked."
